“My Yellow Kitty came to me, a few years before Tom and I met, as a scrawny baby fur-ball that was brought into my home by my then 11 year-old daughter, Kaitlin.
His little antics and almost human-like affection quickly made him the center of attention in our household and he grew quite confident as the King of his tiny universe.”
What’s In A Name?
“At a trade show in Cleveland, Ohio, we sat down and pondered various names. I was adamant that the salon not have some clever limerick or reference to hair. That ruled out Tom’s choice, My Long Locks Friend, and I had an epiphany that played on my favorite theme: my ginger-colored tabby cat that we affectionately call the “Yellow Kitty.”

We have expanded our product line and created new retail space. We feature Kenra, Aquage and Moroccan Oil products primarily. We also have added hair jewelry and headbands, make-up and carry a few select hair appliances. You may also enjoy browsing our new line of greeting cards. We will feature other unique merchandise for hair and beauty through the upcoming year!
Waiting Area
We have relocated and expanded our waiting area to make more room for the comfort of our clients. We have made use of recycled “french doors” to create a partition and add ambience to this new corner of our salon.
